"The staff either seemed happy to help or annoyed. There was loud music in the courtyard until shortly after 11pm. Dealing with rowdy students was not fun. If you’re young and want to make friends or meet people then maybe this is the place for you. The fact this is attached to student residences is not great. "When I first saw the property, I was shocked….it’s one of those weird art deco places and I thought it was just so poorly kept up. I still don’t like the design, but they had an excellent A/C, breakfast was fine with fresh fruits, cheese, eggs, etc. The hotel was in short walking distance to a safe and great laundry and was in short walking distance to the Duomo, Accademia, Medici Chapel, etc. There were two restaurants that we great…one was Napoli pizza, the other was a couple of doors down...

"From different hotels I've stayed in Florence in the past, I'd say Minerva was the better one. These are what you may notice: roomier lounge, more light, roof top view, and also very educated staff.
